Ashore That Are Going Ashore
The final leg of the voyage aboard the R/V Thomas G.
Thompson from the Strait of Juan de Fuca, through Admiralty
Inlet, into Puget Sound, through the locks and back to Lake
Washington is well underway. Ninety-five
percent of the equipment is safely packed for disembarking the vessel.
There is one visible filtration still taking place. Good to the
last drop. Lastly,
the lab space will be cleaned and prepped for the next research cruise
which begins loading equipment and stores tomorrow.
For me, it has been a chance of a lifetime. Thank you to all who made this possible: Students, MSAD #44 Administration and Faculty, Dr. Mark Wells from the University of Maine, National Science Foundation, MLTI, Apple Computers, Friends, and Family.
