Heavy
weather procedures are still in effect. Nobody is
allowed on deck, etc. The ship is much more comfortable today,
however, as compared to two nights ago. The first mate said the
seas that evening were 18 to 20 feet.
Today we are continuing our heading for Ketchikan, Alaska.
A few people will disembark in Ketchikan, and the remaining
researchers will enjoy a day in the port. One of the scientists,
Dr. Charles Trick, from the University of Western Ontario, is
leaving for a fundraising reception and dinner with Al Gore.
Mr. Gore will announce the opening of the new Biotron.
