The R/V thomas G. Thompson is located in front of the University of Washington’s Ocean Sciences Building on Lake Washington. We traveled through the locks to enter Puget Sound. Puget Sound is linked to the ocean by the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The ship was fueled with over 78,000 gallons of fuel.
